Printer - How to Troubleshoot a Disconnected Printer

Steps:
- Check the connections:
- Wired Printers: Ensure the USB or Ethernet cable is securely connected to both the printer and your computer.
- Wireless Printers: Confirm the printer is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network. If necessary, re-enter the Wi-Fi password.
- Check if the printer is powered on and free of error messages. Also, inspect for paper jams or low ink/toner warnings
- Try restarting your devices by turning off both the printer and your computer. Then wait 30 seconds, then turn them back on.
- Check your network connection. For wireless printers, make sure your printer is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network. You might need to reconnect it to the network by entering the Wi-Fi password again.
- Go to your computer's printer settings. Then set the disconnected printer as the default printer.
- For Windows: Uncheck 'Let Windows manage my default printer' if necessary.
- MacOS: Select the printer and click βOpen Print Queue.β
- Please ensure to install the updated drivers or reinstall them if necessary.
- Run Printer Troubleshooter by using the built-in printer troubleshooter on your computer.
- For Windows: Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Printer.
